What is offline activation in Zentitle?
Offline activation lets customers activate a license even when their machine has no direct internet connection. The application generates a small activation-request certificate, an authorised operator sends it to the Zentitle Cloud, and the resulting unlock certificate is applied back on the offline device.

Many of the most valuable customers — government, defence, regulated industries, isolated research environments — can’t allow outbound internet traffic from product machines. Offline activation is often a hard requirement to close those deals.
How the activation flow works
The flow is a short round-trip that never requires the activated machine to touch the internet.
- Application SDK generates an activation-request certificate encoding machine identity
- That certificate is transferred (USB, email, etc.) and submitted to the Zentitle Cloud
- Cloud activates the seat and returns a signed unlock certificate
- Unlock certificate is applied back on the offline device, enabling the licensed rights
